What A Beautiful Time of Year!

I look out the window to my beautiful surroundings. Our little mini farm in a thin layer of snow. I see a few chickens who have braved the weather to peck around outside. There is a cat or 2 pawing at the door, begging for me to let them in. I love this time of year when I can look out and see all of God's Splendor, covered with the powdery white stuff.

Then, I step outside....

What in the world are people thinking when they live in this part of the country??? It's a horrible 27 degrees and I am trekking out into the horrible freezing-ness (is that a word?), to sit in a freezing truck with cold kids waiting for the heater to kick in... AHHHH!!!!!!

I love Florida. I picture the beach, the waves, the sunburn... and I long for it. Especially THIS time of year. The gas is cheap now, what's stopping me from packing 5 suitcases and getting out on the open road for a long 2 day trip with 4 little boys, and a hubby who's wondering where my mind went? Well, I guess that last thing is stopping me. You know the hubby. He loves the cold. He loves being out in the cold. He loves shoveling, scraping, and stomping through... I don't know. I think I could be content watching it from a TV in a warm and sunny locale. Drinking fresh OJ from the orange tree in my yard, and taking walks everyday, without having to bundle a sad little baby up in layers... It just ain't natural, people!

Have I rambled enough about winter? What's YOUR favorite time of year? Have you guess which one is NOT my favorite? =)

I love snow....from my warm house looking at it out my window. :-)

Fall is probably my favorite season. Truth is, I like having all 4 seasons and wouldn't want to live somewhere that didn't have them all.

Well my favorite is spring. I too love the changing seasons and seeing God in each one, but I love seeing the new growth. I do like the warm weather too, but the snow is nice for awhile!

Its a tie between spring and fall, Fall because the colors and the smell of the air, its the old passing away. Spring also because of the colors and its a renewal of life and I love that.

This post cracked me up! Winter is my very least favorite season of all. I'll take the cold/snow for one day, on Christmas day. And the very next day I better wake up to Sunsine, blue skies, and happiness. Although I will say, there have been times when I'm outside and it's really cold and I come back inside to warmth and my mind feel refreshed and I have a new appreciation for heat. And hot beverages. And that's my one page thesis. Thank you. Can I have an A+?
