Labor Day Fun!

I hope everyone had a happy and safe Labor Day! It sure was a warm one...

We went biking in the hot weather.

Yes, excuse me, ma'am? What would you like to do today, the hottest day in like a year? Oh, bicycling? Up and down (small) hills? With all of your boys? Sounds like you really have it all together~!

And we stopped at the Nature Center (Pokagon State Park, in Angola), and the boys loved all that nature stuff... especially the Gardener Snake we saw eating a toad. Yes, That is no misprint, folks. Here's some pics to prove it...

Warning: This is not for the faint of heart. BUT- if you have boys... get used to it. You too will one day be photographing carnage such as this.

Yes- here you can see the toads legs sticking out of the snake's mouth....

Oh, and here, he's nearly done. You can just see the toads little feet sticking out of his mouth...

Let's move on, shall we....?

Well, it wasn't really THAT bad. The boys all went swimming at the end. We saw Tweety Bird and Sylvester the Cat on Jet skis... don't ask. At the end, Koen ended up crying and upset because it was time for the sweaty little monkey to eat. He WAS doing really well, until some family came in, made camp and then let one of their kids run by (several times) kicking sand on Koen and yelling very loudly! I was not very happy, neither was Koen. But we made it back to the truck, so I wouldn't have to feed him in front of the hundreds and hundreds of people at the beach.

Then we went and helped prepare things for my sister's wedding this weekend. So, how was your Labor Day? Was it as glamorous as mine?
