He really is a good boy. When I was pregnant for him, I thought for sure all along that he was a girl, because in my hubby's family there are 2 girls one boy and in my family, there is 4 girls and one boy. So I thought surely... then I went into a "false labor" to me, to the hospital it was real. ( all of my boys have given me this false labor that the hospital had thought was real enough to give me the hormone shots and all...). That was a month and a half before he was supposed to come. From that day on (Valentine's Day, BTW...), I thought he MUST be a boy.
My husband was present for the delivery (as he was with all of the boys), and he said as soon as he saw his face HE knew the this was a boy.
Right now, Deklyn loves the color RED, he loves trains, space (anything to do with planets and stars, rockets or spaceships). He loves to draw (just like his mama!). He likes playing soccer and basketball. He likes to wear dress-up clothes (polo shirt, nice cargo pants), not big on jeans (yet), not great about matching up colors of clothes (if the shorts have red and yellow, then a shirt with yellow and green MUST go with it!). He loves to make people laugh. He like to make his mom crazy. And he likes to pawn off his chores to his brothers ("Aus, go water the chickens while I go to the bathroom..."). He loves pizza, chocolate milk, the school's spaghetti, and chicken-n-noodles. He definitely loves God. He is starting to pray on his own, and talk to God on his own. I love it. He is an all around boy...
To make you smile, have taken some pictures that Deklyn has drawn... Note: He <
Here are the "I'm gonna get you" pics:
Here is my hubby getting sucked up by a combine... Notice the corn stalk to the left, and my husband getting sucked into the combine...
Here, my husband is being spit out into the grain part...
Here is a true story that Deklyn wrote about his brother Austin crashing a 4-wheeler at his Nana's house... Austin was not hurt. But You'd never guess that from this drawing...
Here is Deklyn on his 4-wheeler on the left, and Austin Crashed into a tree on the right... (yes, this boys DO wear helmets and we DO NOT let them race...
Now, here are the ones that make me the proudest... Here is when Jesus was born...
Here are shepherds on the left followed by Mary and Joseph. Then Baby Jesus. See him in the hay?
Here is of course, Jesus on the cross...
Notice Jesus, first of all is smiling... second above him on the sign it says "GOD".

Aww! These are adorable! He's got your natural talent for art! I think daddy ought to draw his own "i'm gonna get you" pics for Deklyn!! Maybe of Deklyn getting beaten up by a pencil and eraser?
:)
