Things I Love Thursday- Recipe Needed!

One treat my boys absolutely LOVE when it gets cold out, is Hot Cocoa. And being the sale miser that I have been lately, I HATE buying anything that is not on sale! So our Hot Cocoa supply is running low, folks.

So, what I need on this Things I Love Thursday is recipes for Hot Cocoa. Not this "open an envelope containing Swiss Miss, pour in some boilng water, stir." More like cocoa powder, milk, sugar... and the like. Anybody got somethin'? Another request, while I am making them, I would love it if they are not HEAVY in sugar. I usually buy the low or no sugar kind. My boys DO NOT NEED more sugar, nor do they need more energy. So any ideas?

Here is a cute boy I have around, drinking Hot Cocoa after feeding the Chickens this morning.

Notice the little bit of marshmellow fluff in between his eyebrows, and the cocoa dripping from his chin... I love a little boy's face all sticky with cocoa and marshmellow fluff.

That's Caden, he's my boy...

No recipes here either but I did want to tell you that I contacted Swiss Miss via e-mail and they sent me two free product Q!! These had no limits or amounts so I got two 30 pack boxes FREE!!This is our favorite kind so I was excited!!

However if you do find a recipe and test it I'd love to have it!

You're a cutie Caden!! btw...I'm drinking some hot choc right now!!

Found one in my hot chocolate maker booklet.

never tried this so if you do let me know!! Its very basic

2 cups milk
5 tsp. cocoa powder (unsweetened)
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla

it has a note at the bottom that you can substitute 4 TBSP choc. syrup for the sugar and cocoa powder.
serves 2

Would be nice if there was a recipe that used water like the swiss miss does. I bet we could find it online. I will look!
